Hello guys!

Love the site and have been lurking for quite a while! I currently have 4 bmw m3's and have been getting the itch for a new car. Currently have a g80 m3 on order which is scheduled for summer delivery. Over the past few months several options I wanted are now deleted and no longer available. long story short I am looking at different options available to me. I have never owned/driven a Porsche but i guess the natural progression is the Porsche from a BMW.

I have had ZERO luck ordering a gt4 so I wanted your opinion on the base carerra with minimal options. I would drive it for 6 months of the year as I have another vehicle for the winter. Would you guys recommend making the jump or waiting for the g80 m3.

Well, you're probably going to have to wait for a C2 as well, assuming you can even get an allocation. Do you have one?

Ah man ! i was hoping that wouldnt be an issue here... i dont have one yet, Guess its just as hard to buy a new car nowadays than a house

It's all relative, but a C2 Base allocation should be easier to get though.

A base is not any easier to get, at least in my region of the Country.

I actually watched the video and one of the primary reasons for this thread! haha. I think im going to pay the 5k deposit and just wait and see.

Did his base Carrera have S/C?

GT4 and 992 C2 are two different beasts, as is the M3 from either of them.

What kind of driving experience are you looking for?

it did not. Its the same base C2 he has done 3 videos on already. Very minimally optioned.

Go for the C2...I went from a a 981 BS to an F80 M3 to a 991.1 GTS and the M3 is not in the same league. I'm sure the G80 is miles head of the F80 but I'm sure the 992 is still the better car...

How come m3 only 4.1s? Wow I am happy my C2 is that fast but er I thought M3 should have similar number.

also does that base car really have only 1k of options as he claimed? Didn’t he do launch control? Or was that without launch control? I clearly saw sports text seat which is 4500 of an upgrade…

I love my base c2! mine came in around 118k.
