I absolutely love the Truffle/Paldao trim with my AG 2022 C2. It’s exactly what I hoped it would be.
Nonetheless, I noticed a couple chips/flakes in the center trim piece. I blame the PPF guys but that may not be the case. Regardless, two questions for my fellow RL folks:
1: How’s your (uhm…) wood holding up?
2. Any thoughts on how to repair/cover up the knicks?
Thanks so much.
You are correct…I should have mentioned that they also tinted all windows. Possibly chipped then? It doesn’t matter how it happened. I’d just like to know if it’s indeed a warranty issue or if I can cover it up myself…brown marker?

Do you see fibers of wood sticking out? If so definitely a chip. If you are ok with DIY - wood filler stick, walnut/almond or wood filler marker. Do not use a regular brown marker. Be ready for a slightly off color fix though.
Did they PPF your center console? If not, I can't imagine how they would damage it. You can try warranty but assume there are no parts available.

I would just use a minwax wood marker to color the chip. It is going to be tough to fill that small of a chip with filler/putty and make it look good. Take off the trim piece to work on it so you don't get the color on the plastic trim.
The interior has no PPF. If I run my fingers over the two spots I feel no rough wood edges. That's a good thing. I like the idea of using a Minwax product. I will look into that. Thanks everyone!

They make brown markers for wood and different shades. I had a few chips on my Kitchen cabinets and it works great. Plus- it adds to the character of the wood once you blend it in.
