I sort of wonder if at least part of the excitement of driving my 911 is the constant vigilant looking about for cops?

I agree philosophically. And Dogboy should have known better. But in practice, I’m not sure how paying a ticket lawyer helps societal safety.
So, Dogboy does not know how to use his rear view mirror, to assess the threats behind him? Sounds like Dogboy never served in combat, ie “situational awareness” Dogboy deserves to be ticketed. 😱

Tickets are for local and insurance company revenue, not for making things safer.

Easy there big daddy. It was meant to be a self deprecating amusing pseudo-parable. We all make errors. You do remember the error chain, right ? Or the Swiss cheese model ? SA comes and goes.

You’ve made a number of assumptions. And I’m not talking about the R7 being of any use. Yes, Dogboy served.

I’m calm. Not upset. I find the banter entertaining, if not comical.

My last speeding ticket was in 1987 on my way to Newport….so I guesss I’m either lucky, or just observant enough to stay out of the po-po’s clutches. Happy DD to all.
