Funny- Try getting a Turbo/S w/o an ADM.
I am not paying ADM but I was going to order a C2S Cabrio and I purposely waited for the GT3 announcement. So glad I did. I had a 997.2 Turbo but I do not like the all wheel drive( weight plus never felt as good as the rear wheel) coupled with the wider body and rear vents in the arches never worked for me.
The upgraded brakes are a bonus but the Turbo suspension should really be a nice upgrade for a Cabrio along with the power but I will probably "tune" her after the 1st year anyway. I think the winner here is so far, many reviewers, have commented that this may be the best sounding Turbo in the Porsche line-up which speaks volumes because Porsche always struggled with this so I am hoping they figured out the secret ingredient.
I am coming from a .1 GT3/ GT4, and a .2 GT3. Been there done that. Love the GT experience but they have many flaws as an every day toy. I think the GTS will be the sweet spot for me.( until the next adventure )

Most threads are about $. If you spend X on a GTS you might as well get a Turbo. If you spend X on a Turbo might as well get a Turbo S. If I spend X on a Turbo S might as well look at a 720S then a 765LT. It never ends, get what you want. Stop trying to convince everyone your decision is the best. Maybe for you it is but not for everyone else. Hopefully some get their GTS's soon so we can talk about something else.

If I was buying a 992 today, I'd probably go for a Turbo, because it doesn't get the GTS ADM and the Turbo is considerably more beasty.
Owning a 992 C4S, I wouldn't characterize the brakes as "pitifully undersized visually". The bigger steel brakes weigh considerably more than the PCCBs.
As for the rest of the GTS package, the Sport Design Kit, Centerlocks, and RaceTex are all things that I don't want. More power is fine.

I mean the thing does 0-60 is 2.8 and is doing 10s in the 1/4 mile. It has the same seat option as a gt3 and chassis of a turbo. Im sorry but Those numbers and options make it very close to a gt3. I think GT3 buyers want to feel more exclusive and want to fall into the hype so get mad when a car like this comes on. I can get into a gt3 and a gts and do the same 0-60 so how can you not put it in the same category ?? Ok The GT3 sounds better and has more road feel blah blah blah.

Anxious to to road test my own GTS with no ADM, PDK, amber marker lights and no center locks or RaceTek. Hell I may even raise the spoiler manually and drive it at low speed to **** people off. Nah...

Not to be hackneyed but a GT3 is literally more than the sum of its instrumented numbers.
