I made it home. 700 mile drive. It's dirty in the photo but here it is!
I don't think the car has ever been driven in the rain. It's a 5.0 condition. PPF and all. It will get driven from now on though. I'm in love. 1,000 times better than the Plaid.

Reason: Updated photo after cleaning.
I rolled over exactly 15,000 yesterday, getting the oil changed tomorrow (because I am a nerd and don't trust the carfax details), it's a 2020 Carrera Cabriolet, but for my first it is well appointed with sport+, dampeners, Brumeister (sp?), PDLSP+, Power Steering+, Sport Chrono, Surround view, Comfort Access, IONIZER!!! (not that I really care, but maybe this is cool), 14 way seats with memory, Really excited, I have wanted a 911 since I was 15 (42 years) and finally pulled the trigger. I have been to the configurator already and will most likely place an order in a year or two. Love the Cabriolet, but the Targa is just plain sexy so it may be next.

Great Job! I have a new one on order and will probably swap this one out for the new one when it comes in.
All used/CPO 992's are going for over sticker here in SoCal with new 992's going for $10k-$25k MSRP. And that's for C2's/C2S's. GTS', GT3's, and Turbo's are going for $40k-60k over new. Talked to my long-term sales guy this morning after calling every dealer in SoCal and my chances of getting a GTS for less than $40k over is zilch. Going to just take my chances with a C2 or C2S at $10k over and call it a done deal.... I'm OK with paying over $10k over but anything more than that is just highway robbery.
I picked up my CPO 2020 with 4000 miles on it in July of 2020. At that time, I paid $122K on a car with an MSRP of $137K and the dealer paid for transporting it to me and for the prepaid service. When I was in for service recently, I was offered $9K more than I paid for it even with the current 14K miles. I wasn't interested in selling but this was an initial offer. I'm guessing that, had I sold, the dealer would have listed it back at the MSRP, if not more. The market is crazy and the changes from my purchase in 6/2020 to today are incredible. I would also mention that my trade in at that time, a 2019 GTS, was done at 10K under what I originally paid. So, as stated above, the prices to buy are very high but your price to sell is equally high. Personally, I don't like paying over MSRP for anything but, with the many variables listed above, that's probably the easiest way to get into a 992 quickly. If time isn't of the essence, I would probably wait because I don't believe that you will ever get that money back. Future prices should be estimated off MSRP and not price paid. If money isn't the issue, go for it and get into a car sooner rather than later.

With this non stop Covid variant I’d assume the inventory will continue to be low and won’t see any price drop in the next year or two.
buy and enjoy while healthy and wealthy.
If you're weighing decision whether to pay current pre owned market prices or ADM's on new. We recieved this fax today with what other dealers are willing to pay for grounded new vehicle inventory. Not Porsche, domestic, but posting this as an additional information resource. BTW, we are selling at MSRP, no ADM's. We get both sides, but in our rural market feel the goodwill built with clients will payoff in the long run.
