Looks like very close to final product. The LA show makes sense.

That wing .. that's going to be a popular swap for Carrera Base/S/GTS.

Any update abot the specification?

Granted it will be AWD and most probably with the GTS engine, the big question, I suppose, is about the suspension geometry and if it will be fitted with a variable ride hight.

If it could ride higher than standard for snow and similar situation it could become a very compelling option as a daily in winter or for mountain resort trips; much better proposition than an SUV or the typical Audi S/RS.

Do people expect the Safari/Dakar to be priced in line with a 911 GTS? Surely it can’t be as expensive as a GT3 or Turbo S. Limited edition or normal production?

The pricing will be dependant upon the standard product line or "Heritage" positioning ...
My best guess is the following.
If a standard product it could be at the high-end of the Carrera range around the level of a Targa GTS ... that is already close to a standard base Turbo. If it would be an Heritage model: then the pricing would be irrelevant given the limited availability.

The suspension system would play a role also in the pricing: if the GT3 front suspension would be used in order to have a higher degree of travel and variable ride hight, then the price could be very close to Turbo or even GT3 levels.

The specification calls for a standard model but on 2024 there is the 40th anniversary of the Dakar win ... and the possibility of a celebration Heritage model could not be ruled out.

Just pure speculation on my part.

If not LA in 18 November then for sure we will se the car at Dubai on 26 November. They cannot postpone much longer 992.1 versions.

This sentence, in particular, would suggest a strong connection with the 911 offroad theme ...

“The safari theme for this year’s event will deliver a lot of exciting moments and engaging experiences. Attendees can expect to see some famous Porsche vehicles from throughout our rich history, with pedigree and success off-road as well as on the race track. We are planning to deliver a calendar event that is not to be missed. It will be the ultimate platform to experience classic car nostalgia in connection with art, culture and the community.”

It would make sense to present a niche 911 model targeted mostly to Mid-East and developing countries in such venue.

Spotted on PCH today... it was tailed by a Panamera so looks like they are just driving around all week in Los Angeles doing some sort of validation testing.
