Default Current milestone

This my first post as I have just reached my freeze point on my first Porsche 911s 992, pnkupyv5. Saying I am excited is an understatement.

I have really enjoyed reading and learning from the 992 forum.

I have been able to follow my build on track your dream. I wanted to know what the rennlist members recent experience has been with how accurate the TYD/or dealership predicted your actual time points and eventual delivery?
Best.

It varies wildly from case to case.

I'd suggest wading into the "waiting room" thread to see what people are saying at any given time.

TYD was pretty accurate for my 2021 992S which arrived in July. The car arrived two weeks earlier than the initial estimate. TYD will tell you when the car is built and sent to port. Once on a ship you can track the voyage directly to your dealer if you know the name of the ship using a number of websites. Just google the name of the ship which will appear on TYD. My car arrived within a few days of the final estimate.

Thanks for the info. I’ve seen posts with ship tracking and wondered how to do it. Now I know! Thank you!

TYD is a bit of a mess at times. However, back in August the estimated delivery day for me was November 18 (today). I am picking up my 911 today. So, ultimately the TYD is accurate. Be patient and best wishes for a speedy delivery.

Thanks for the info! I’m also noticing past milestone dates are changing on TYD. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Congrats on picking up your 911!

Side question-how long did your delivery take at the dealer?
Best.

The Porsche crest is the front hood "Porsche" badge/icon. I can't imagine Porsche delivering your vehicle without that. Weird

From my (2 992’s) experience TYD is not linked directly to their tracking computer. It appears to updated either manually or on random days. Consequently it may appear that a scheduled date was not met by several days or more only to see an update in arrears showing the original scheduled date was met or even bettered.
Moral of this story, TYD is a nice feature but take everything with a grain of salt.
