Question GTS Embroidered Logo Deviated Stitching question

My current 992 C4 GTS order has the Interior Package in Race-Tex (with items in leather) (GL) selected along with speed blue deviated stitching with the Preparation for Deviated Stitching Interior Package (6RD). The GTS logo on the headrests are normally black with this package.

Does anyone know if the deviated stitching package will change the embroidered black GTS logo on the headrests to the color selected with the deviated stitching package?

TIA

I think it should. From what I recall that comparison video with the GTS that is making the rounds has the red deviated stitching and that turned the GTS logo on the headrests the same color. Your dealer’s ordering guide might specify what the deviation includes for the GTS.

AFAIK only the 2 GTS interiors, Red and Chalk, offer complementary stitching of the GTS logo on the headiest. Any other stitching chose I believe would not translate to the logo. But I could be wrong.

Good call, I had not considered this but the more I think about it the more I think you are right.

Thanks for the replies guys. I am currently waiting on my SA for confirmation as well. I will update this post when I hear back. Hopefully this will help clear up this issue for anyone considering doing something similar.

Keep in mind that if changing the headrest stitching color has to go through exclusive (CXX) there will be a minimum exclusive option level that you will need to meet to get that done. Just the headrest will likely not be enough, so start dreaming of other stuff to have them do to make your car unique!

If you elect the the leather/race-tex interior with leather seat inserts rather than race-tex, the GTS logo will be deleted.

I was looking to do same thing and assumed it would be included with deviated stitching. Glad you guys brought this up as I would of been let down to not see it on the car…. My SA said he would look into it as well. Hopefully someone gets an answer soon.

I just heard from my SA, I ordered deviated stitching in Racing Yellow and was told it will NOT translate to the GTS logo. Logo remains but will be in black.

Indeed that is my understanding from configurator

So what is it the logo is deleted or deviated?

Likewise on any C2S, or C4S or variant thereof, if you get the Manual Transmission with the Black Interior with Chalk Stitching (which is a regular option), that stitching does not extend to the stitching on the manual boot (nor do they include the interior of the steering wheel. If you want those areas in matching stitching you have to opt for the $3,800 deviated stitching option, which is crazy given that the Black Full Leather Interior is the same price as the Black Full Leather with Chalk Stitching. Just one of those Porsche things.

That stinks and really seems like it should be included for the amount of money paid.

So here’s the scoop. CXX deviated stitching on the headrest for the GTS to match whatever color you pick costs ….. wait for it …. THIRTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. I lost my mind when my dealer called me to share this news. Absolutely ridiculous. This is on top of the cost for deviated stitching of course. Back to the drawing board for me.
