Interesting that he finds the GTS suspension a bit stiff. I didn’t think the addition of helper springs from the Turbo would translate so noticeably. Unless I am incorrect in my understanding of which suspension components were brought over from the Turbo. Otherwise, his framing of the GTS as a baby Turbo makes sense.

I wouldn’t mind a little more in-cabin engine noise in my S, I wonder if there’s a way to remove sound deadening to that end like they’ve done with the GTS? Shorter shift throws would also be nice, maybe Suncoast will carry the GTS shift kit soon.

Helper springs won’t adversely affect ride quality.

Damper tuning might be different on the GTS if there is a difference in feel.

I think the suspension bits (shocks and springs) are a bit stiffer in the GTS...it has PASM sport standard but meant to be stiffer than the C2S.

I’m confused as to why the added boost, extra stiffness, TT suspension didn’t improve on the S Nurburgring lap time.

I’m thinking 30 HP might not be enough to matter.

I wonder how an S with Cup2s would fare against a GTS on stock tires.

Not sure that the GTS is worth the ADM vs an S. The MSRP difference (between the S and GTS) is worth it for the package, but with the current market ADM tacked on, the value proposition falls down.

GTS springs are significantly stiffer in the GTS than SPASM on an S. I believe 40% in front and 20% in rear. I suspect that's why, not the helper spring.

If the mainspring is stiffer then that’s it.

All the helper spring does is keep the main spring on its perch when the car is lifted or, I suppose, when driving quickly through heavy road undulations.

It'll be interesting to see how many S actually get built/delivered over the next few months. Reading comments here, always dangerous I know, it sounds like there are more GTS allocations coming through than S. Although that may just be because GTS is flavour of the month.

Wow just saw the Nurburgring times (7:25) and have to say that it is pretty disappointing considering the 991.2 did a 7:23. I know that was with P Zero Corsas so that would make a big diff. Lars Kern (driver) did say with better tires (I would suspect that would be Cup 2's or Corsa's) and tuning tweaks it could be in the 7:10s 🤷🏼‍♂️, I wish they would test it that way but Porsche is prob only going to test based on what the car is spec'd with.
