This "great" dealer/SM, every time there was the slightest problem kept saying "OK we'll just return your money and cancel the deal". As you, not that I care either, I won't be doing business there again anyway and I'm not selling the car.

Mine has a rattle in the passenger door also but the service department is so lame that I am living with it for the time being.

I told my service adviser the rattle wasn’t an emergency (still drivable), so it could wait. Couple of weeks later he called and said bring it by. I waited while they took the door panel off, and was finished in a little over an hour. Mine was a easy fix, but every noise can have a different source.

I experienced a dealership like that. I even bought a new 2008 Cayman and a 2016 991.1 from them before I learned how they were. Local too. One thing was I had them change the oil pre-purchase on the 991.1 because the car had been sitting on the lot for a while. They managed to get a lot of oil where it didn’t belong. Instead of making them clean up their mess, I removed the RR wheel and the inner fender liner and cleaned it myself. Another issue with their service department and I was finished with them. After that and to this day my go-to dealership is two hours away and where I bought my next two 911’s and have had every bit of service performed.

Not only you... after 2,500 miles of trouble-free driving, my C4S now has a rattle/buzzing in the passenger door as well. It manifests on rough roads or low frequency sounds when the volume is up. I will contact the dealer shortly. Perusing this forum this problem seems so common I wonder whether it should be the subject of a recall.

Need to start a running thread for noises and solutions (when fixed) for people who have noise issues…
