Are rattles a warranty issue
Just returned from Porsche who had my car for several days dealing with an annoying center stack rattle. Although they never charged me they led me to believe that Porsche only cover rattles for 90 days and that after that it is not covered. Is this correct. Dealer did not charge me but at the same time made it seem as if they were doing me a huge favor by covering it. Seems ridiculous if this is correct given that our cars generally rattle like a rattle snake.
Thanks

90 days? If that’s the feeling/impression you got from your dealership…ummm, I would start looking for a new place to take your car.
I took delivery of my 992S in April, and yesterday I had it in to fix a door rattle. They did, no hassle, no qualms, and couldn’t be happier.

Bingo, that was exactly my concern and waited until I could no longer stand the rattle.
Also, the door rattle in question also went away when my wife, sitting in the passenger seat, applied moderate pressure in the area of the door handle. The rattle was not related to the speaker in the door….and the best part, in fixing the problem, they did not cause a new one!!
The solution was the dealership took the door panel off and found that a Velcro tape that should have been fastened was not…or something like that. Very simple and quick fix.

What I said was: every time I stop at my dealership, my SA offers to buy the car back from me. Last offer was “$30K over what I paid”. Maybe one day he will make me an “offer I can’t refuse”…but for now, no plans.

I must have mixed you up with another fellow that had terrible luck w 992. Had one lemon buyback, and was prepping for another.

Otherwise, it's basically as worthwhile as Internet vaporware. Probably less.

No, never said that….my posts pretty much all say I love the car.

..and i might ask - why do you care?
But not that it’s any of your business, I drive into Annapolis at least once a week, and the route I take, takes me near the dealership. I am good friends with my SA (we are both scuba divers), and I enjoy talking to him about that and to get the latest Porsche rumors. I recently sold my company, so have time on my hands, and he know I have money and in the market for a car for my wife.
Anything else I can help you with?
