Pre delivery engine swap … deterrent or roll with it?

Pre delivery engine swap … deterrent or roll with it?
Hi folks. As I wait for an allocation on a 992 GTS to manifest … or not I’m negotiating purchasing a ‘21 GT4 at Covid markup prices with 50 miles on the ODO but I have discovered it was one of the recall cars that had its motor swapped pre-delivery. If I understand correctly they sometimes perform this swap at the port? That is sketching me out about the purchase. I mean, I’m pretty confident Porsche will deliver a complete product but I’ve already had a car that had catastrophic engine failure and it wasn’t my favorite experience. Anyone have some experience or wisdom here they can drop on me?

No great shakes. Go for it!

roll with it ...it will probably receive special treatment going forward knowing an engine has already been replaced on Porsche's nickel

If it's still under warranty go for it.

It probably has a 8 year extension...

It is not being sold at a Porsche store but a well established dealership that specializes in Porsche. No talk of an extended 8 year warranty but that’s a good question to ask. They supposedly acquired it from a person who just bought it as a stepping stone to get on the list for a 992 GT3.

Oh, a "dealership", like CNC.
You mean, a used car lot that buys and sells Porsches.
Sounds like a way to get burned.

It would appear that most car dealers around here are turning into used car lots. Only two new Porsches sitting at my local dealer currently.

I'd also pass - the ONLY way I'd do this would be from an actual Porsche dealer with any additional "commitments" in writing on Porsche letterhead. Your non-Porsche dealer can say anything they want but at the end of the day they aren't Porsche and can't support you the way a real dealer could.

The fact that it isn’t being sold by a Porsche dealer raises an eyebrow. There’s something missing from the story, because a dealer would eagerly CPO a car like this.
With the additional details being presented here, I am inclined to pass on it.
