Smile Wheel help - Carrera S in Satin vs. Carrera Classic vs. Carrera S in Satin Black

Hey All,

Freeze date coming up and wanted to get some opinions on wheels for a base 992 since none of the dealers near me have anything in stock to look in person. I was going back and forth on body color with Chalk vs. GT Silver and think I have decided to go for Chalk.

I don't like the hollowed out black wheels look so have been debating between the Carrera S in Satin Platinum or Carrera Classic. The Satin Platinum looks great in the configurator but I have heard that it looks lighter in person and could clash with chalk, and Carrera Classic to me looks nice from side profile however it almost looks a bit too "curvy" from an angle, giving it a flower-like effect. Additionally, the Carrera S in Satin Black (3rd pic) actually looks pretty light but I think in real life they are much darker?

Anyone have these or have seen them in person to opine? I know it sounds crazy but I'm also debating adding PCCBs so not sure if that changes things. Thanks all.

The black satins are darker than photo in real life. Chalk and black wheels and black roof are a popular combination and look good

I happen to love the Classics with a Chalk exterior. To me, they just look, well, classic. I might go with the monochrome center caps since you are doing the calipers in black - which I also like with the Chalk.

Mine just froze and i went with Satin Black on Chalk. If I had done Black car, i would have gone Classics. I just think there is no better color to do black wheels with, than Chalk...

I love my Classics. They are stunning. And still very sporty. Period.

You can’t go wrong with the Classic imo, but I know I’m biased. While I haven’t seen it in person, Platinum Satin with Chalk doesn’t fit my eye. The S wheels are my least favorite of all the wheel choices, but Satin Black does go well with Chalk.

I saw this pic on the forums with chalk + platinum satin. Looks pretty good?

Man, the pictures of Chalk look nothing like the car does in person.

It's OK. I get a ton or compliments about black with Chalk. Each to their own.

Satin Black is the the best wheel for this color. It's so perfect, I just ordered it.

Love the top picture of Satin Platinum - if it looks half as good as that in person, you are set. The Classic wheels "pop" in my opinion (on this config) - some may like that - I think it takes away from the subtlety of chalk .
