When I was at the service counter today dropping off my 992 C4S for the 30k mile service, the service manager told me of customer with a 2009 911 with only 9k miles that needed the transmission replaced. The worst thing that you can do is to let these cars sit. They will literally rot in place. Drive your cars.

I use STA-BIL Storage Fuel Stabilizer. This is readily available and works really well. It will keep fuel fresh for two years. You don't need anything else, though I've used Sea Foam SF-16 as well - also a good product. Not as readily available - you may need to go to Amazon for that,

There are horror stories here of how some people are left with dead batteries with having the car sit just a couple of days. Not to speak for those owners, but I really feel like those are outliers as opposed to the norm.

I think once a week is certainly enough. Given that that "once a week" drive is an actual drive, and not just putting around the block. (And, yes, this is without having the car on a battery tender.)

Once a week is enough. Just drive it for at least 20-30 minutes. I had to do this when my windshield was cracked and the replacement from Germany took almost 3 months. No issues.

I don’t think it is a bright line test. My 7 year old M5 has just over 50K on the clock. I use it to get to the train station during the week and more miles during non-winter weekends. But I drive it enough each way to the station (about 2 miles) to get it up to full operating temp each time.

When I had mine replaced on my RRS, the fitter said it takes 15 minutes of running to fully charge the battery.
