Some great advice the answers above. The ONLY thing I would add is to not only see the color in person but try to see in bright sunlight, on a cloudy day and at night to give you an overall feel for the color as I have seen certain colors look great in one setting but NOT in another which wound up changing my mind about it.

 

Yeah. I love gentian blue in the sunlight but it's too dark and kinda dull for me when overcast or at night.

 

Here's a shark blue 4S I saw at my dealership yesterday......

Miami Blue was awful. Finally saw Shark Blue on a GT3, and while not as bad as Miami Baby Blue, I still don't get why Shark Blue is so popular.

 

Shark Blue = Bold, Beautiful Color. Won't be for everyone though. It for sure will be popular on the GT3 - but then again how often do you really see a recent GT3? For the rest of the 992 versions it will probably be in the lower range of popularity though - which is fine with me. My wife actually loves the color and was one of the deciding factors for me choosing it,...."It's a Porsche, it shouldn't be ordinary" were her exact words. My SB TTS arrives in 85 days or less (hopefully ). Keep looking at this to get me by....

Tough crowd, I guess the color is really not for most people. Personally I love it (though I admit I have not seen it in person).

 

Every time I see that blue I think of a 1st gen Miata.

I think sapphire blue metallic was one on the best blues.

i've done PTS Nogaro Blue. I haven't seen shark blue in person but seems very similar except mine has metallic in it. Also Shark Blue might be a little brighter. I get lots of compliment on this color. loving it personally.

Or my ‘73 Alfa GTV in Azzurro Le Mans, also similar. When it was new it wasn’t the most popular color but these days it’s one of the more sought after for this model.
