Took delivery today. Here’s my thought process, for what it’s worth:

tire and wheel insurance for $1,900 is an absolute must. Roads are rough around here, and replacing one wheel would make me whole. Replaced two on my 2016 Golf R, so I’m a believer.

got 10 year / 75,000 Porsche provided warranty for $7,000. Given all the technology in this vehicle, seemed like a no-brainer to me. Plan on keeping the car for at least that long, but, if we sell it, we get reimbursed for the pro-rated balance not used. Yes, kinda spendy, but to me, the risk management seemed appropriate.

wheel and Time i see value, the porsche warranty you bought was over priced IMO. Tons of options out there, but was quoted 10yr 100k warranty for fidelity for $5351 w/ zero deductible. and you can call in and add it before 9,999 and the year and mileage starts from that point.

Either way, congrats on the car and enjoy it!

I passed on all of the add ons, as it just did not make financial sense to me. Prior to taking delivery I did some searching here and feedback was pretty much a mixed bag. In the end, it comes down to how much risk you want to retain vs. what you want to insure.
