My dealer's last allocations were in November, no sports cars, only SUV models. I am being told that the next allocations for the dealership are later this month. So, since placing my deposit in Sept. '21. I'm still supposedly #1 for an S allocation and now #1 for a T allocation whichever one I prefer. I'm still committed to the S, but if I can get a T allocation sooner, I'm good with it as well.

I don't have to drop a deposit. I have purchased many sports cars from them. I'd complain if you are former buyer of more than one car. They do select previous customers.

Heck, the 911 T is ~100K below the price of a Turbo S. My plan is to order my next car as soon as I get the current car. I got my 2023 car and trying to get on the list for a GT3 Touring in a couple years.

Take the T, I'm nearly identical to you time wise: deposit on an S 8/21, switched to a T request 10/19 got allocation 12/20. You'll get the T allocation quicker I'd bet.

First time "new" Porsche buyer here. I believe that my long wait is partially my own fault for specifying a MY 2023 and also because my local dealer is fairly small. The wait is getting a bit annoying. Hopefully, the next allocation will have something in it for me.

Here's my T spec:

Congrats on your allocation! I'm thinking that you're correct in possibly obtaining a T allocation sooner. Oddly, my SA told me that as of last month, I was the only customer that he knows of that had any interest in a Carrera T.

After 15 months and 21 days I finally received an allocation and placed my order today for a MY 2023 manual T spec Carrera. I now have a confirmed commission numbered order with an MSRP sales agreement in place. Not going to lie, the wait time was brutal. Dealer SA says there were no Carrera S models in this latest round of allocations. Anticipated delivery date for my order is late June or early July.

^^ Congrats and wait time thoughts: I wanted a 911 ever since my Uncle Gordie wheeled in to our driveway when I was 9 in 1969 in his. I ordered an S 8/21 so I had waited 52 years, any wait beyond that was very acceptable to me (still is). My T arrives early April.
