I visited PEC Atlanta last week and was finally able to see and touch few 992 models. A C2S manual was selected for my drive experience and it was pretty amazing. Couldn't believe how long second gear was in this car. Didn't really come out of second except on the short straights. Initially, I was a bit anxious tracking the car as the weather was not cooperating with overcast and very wet conditions. In the end, I'm glad I got a chance to experience the car in sub par conditions as I felt this gave me a bit more confidence as to my ability to control the vehicle in the different selected drive modes.

Placed a 1K deposit yesterday for a MY 2023 992 C2S manual. My SA believes an allocation might possibly be available in the first half of 2022. I'm a working stiff and have waited nearly 40 years for this to even be a possibility for myself, so not really concerned with the wait or if it's a 992.1 or 992.2.

Other than a splurging on a leather interior, I believe I've put together a fairly conservative C2S manual build.

Lone 992, that is a great looking build. Thanks for starting thread, it has been very helpful because I've been thinking about doing this myself and was wondering how the timing was going to work.

Still patiently awaiting an allocation and for MY 2023 C2S info to arrive. My expectation is surely a MY price increase around approx. 4%. Would like to see some new colors as well. If chalk paint becomes a standard no cost color that would be awesome. We'll see...lol

Don’t hold your breath on that 4%. CPI currently running at 7% and news out of China around likely more supply chain issues isn’t hopeful.

Carmaker price increases are usually pretty steady...they don't make huge price increases based on economic factors. The increase will probably be $2-3000 again.

OP, if you want to order a 2023 then now is the time to get into the queue at your dealer...many of the people waiting on 2022 models will get pushed into 2023 as well so if you wait until the 2023s are actually order able you will be way behind the game.

Probably will not see more info on 23 MY allocations for another 3 months or so.

I agree with this ...especially if your dealer is a smaller dealer with fewer allocations to go around, though I have been receiving loads of emails from several dealers with open allocations due to customers "suddenly backing out of orders" since the 1st of the year...of course they're all asking for a $10-25k mark up

Normally I would agree but these are not normal times. Ikea is normally the same but they just did a 9% increase across the world because of supply chain cost increases.

At this point in my waiting game for an allocation, my dealer SA has no real 2023 992 info to share with me other than to expect a substantial price increase. A "substantial" price increase along with an expected rise in auto loan interest rates has got me worried that I might just get priced out of the market. Guess I'll just continue to wait and see how it all plays out.

Anybody know when the online configurator might be changing over to MY 2023?

I was wondering this myself. I recall someone said months ago that the configurator updates in April (hence I now build my car five times a day instead of three). Does any one have data on the specific time the configurator was updated over the past two or three years? Such an update should have the price increase as well as updates on available colors and any option changes. In the mean time I will sit very patiently and wait for my allocation. It has only been a little over 5 months since my dealer added me "the list" (Targa 4S) and input my demand order (or is it order demand?) but it seems like an eternity.

The link below suggests 3/31 for last year.

I had a confirmed order on 4/20/21 for a MY 2022. At the time, it was scheduled for September delivery. Actual delivery was December. As the poster above noted, the configurator changed to MY 22 prices on 3/31/21. That was true even for MY 21 cars. I almost bought one then, but the dealer was forcing me to add options I didn't want to keep it at MSRP.

My dealership suspected by May/June. He didn’t think it would change before the end of April.

If interested, this is my current build code:

Very intelligent build code. You got the basic necessities with a couple of nice touches. You might consider sport seats for another 400 or so for the upgraded look.
