When To Place An Order For MY 2023?

So my understanding of the initial "order" process is that you give the dealer SA a spec list with your selected vehicle and options along with an agreed deposit amount and purchase price and basically wait until the dealer has an allocation that they are willing to let you have. Sound correct?
I would assume they would want some money - but who knows. My deposit last Feb was $10K - but it was for an actual build slot. As for negotiating, you might say "at MSRP" or whatever - cause that can change. And that's risk too - cause who knows what state the world will be in next March!
Good luck!

If you call enough dealers now, you will likely get an allocation before year end for a 2022 with delivery in early to spring 2022. If you specifically want a 2023 and want an April / May allocation for a summer build with September 2022 delivery of a model year 2023 then you are a year out from a car that is most likely a 992.19.

That's a really good question. Personally, I would like to see the super glossy piano black center console
pieces go away. I know you can go aftermarket and cover them with something else, but they're the single most annoying interior feature for me.

Not happening. 992.2 maybe.

Didn't the 2022s do away with this on the doors?

Reason for '23...I have access to my funds at that time.
GL and get on it!

As for the 992.2 I spoke with Porsche NA and the woman on the line sounded pretty confident that the .2's would be on dealer lots in '22 or '23. That might be a win win for the OP

This. Not even ten minutes in the current 992's looks like a biometric magnet. Doing some extend leather (wood too) might help a little but not enough to see it gone.
