Default Leather quality & feel

What is everyone’s take on the quality and feel of the leather? I find it a bit more “plasticky” than I expected. I wonder if it’s a good idea to use a conditioner to add some suppleness to it. Anyone done so after taking delivery?

I have the truffle brown club leather btw. It’s gorgeous, just wish it was a tad softer.

I have the regular leather that comes with 18 way seats and 930 package. Feels pretty supple to me, but I guess it’s all subjective. The leather in my 991.2 was thicker feeling and less flexible and my base Boxster even stiffer, but I don’t think it was leder at all.

Full leather interior for me and it’s not the Club leather. Based on the cars I’ve owned, it’s the softest leather I’ve experienced. Surprisingly the leather in my dad’s Tundra Platinum is quite good as well.

Good to hear that it seems to be soft. I get my car in next couple weeks. My 991.2 was OK, not great (full leather, and not club leather). If the 992 improves on that, I’ll be happy.

I had a Tundra Platinum and sold it to a friend who still owns it. The leather on the Platinum is the same super-supple stuff that they use on the Lexus LS….the best that Toyota/Lexus offers. That’s why it feels so great.

The leather on the chair is soft and supple to touch. The leather around the door handles, trims, dashboard and pretty much anything not the chair feels like plastic. This was the one thing that actually surprised me about the 992. Don’t know about previous models, but was not what I expected.

I have the full leather interior.

Yes this. I should have said it this way to start. The seats feel awesome, the other bits feel a little like plastic.

I'm not sure softer is better. Will leave a lot of indents, scratches, etc.

I have the 18 ways and full leather and I think its great. Maybe a bit soft.

yeah I find it strange that they don't add the super thin padding that other manufacturers do on doors/dash/etc...
