ordered from Sweden and arrived two days later via DHL. An excellent set of instructions and perfect fit which was installed by an excellent Porsche service technician in a day. I don’t have before and after data, but do88’s data shows a drop in intake temps and consistent reductions with repeat runs. Another bonus, for me at least, was the elimination of the sound symposer which runs off the stock intercooler piping sound back into the cabin.
Brief follow-up for those who had questions about the do88 intercooler. I data logged several runs of acceleration to redline in third gear. Its a little bit awkward doing this by yourself on a highway. Mitch reviewed the data and said the car looked solid and that the IAT (intake air temp) showed almost no increase as rpm's and boost increased which would typically rise with the stock IC and as runs are repeated.
The stock system seems to be challenged as temps hit 90+. Here’s some data from the track this past weekend with 90 deg temps for a completely stock engine running 91 octane. After the first hot lap I could notice a drop in acceleration. For the cool down lap I used Sport mode as I was low on gas, looks like that had a beneficial effect on cooling.
Ok, so I understand your S maps won’t work with my GTS out of the box?
I will be in Florida next month, passing through Fort Lauderdale on 15th of April, if my schedule works out. I was thinking about picking up the M-Tuner directly at your new facility. Would that be possible?
Yes, you can come on by to pick up an M-Tuner, I've got them in stock.
In regards to the GTS, we simply just haven't seen or had a car to test with to verify power numbers and software. We have all the box codes and calibrations ready to go, but we always like to verify these things before marketing support for them.

Thanks for sharing your data, always neat to analyze and review. For those looking for upgraded intercoolers for the 992 Carrera, feel free to shoot me a PM as we can ship these!

thanks for posting this data! I was afraid additional cooling will be needed to run a tune on warm tracks. Probably intercooler and radiator/oil cooler
Well, it’s becoming apparent to me that this tune produces so much power that at least some of us, especially those with Stage 2 tunes running 93 octane, are probably in need of a TCM tune. I know the folks at M can make it happen, the question is—when?

@Tupper - I could tell you that I thought the same thing even with a base C2 with the Stage 2 w/ 93 Map. I did reach out to M-Engineering and they sent me a map to flatten the torque curve a bit so it’s not so intense. I’m looking for a smooth power delivery even if it’s not the highest performance I can get. I prefer to be more NA feeling than boost heavy torque curve. They were able to provide me a new map the same day. I’m going to try it out and provide feedback of the difference.

Hey guys, I am new to Porsche and just got a 992 c4s manual. I just flashed the M-engineering tune on my car. Have been running it for about 2 days now. Car seems to sputter for a sec around 5500 rpm in second at wot and again at later rpm. Seems to do the same thing in 3rd gear as well. I saw someone else mention this also its not traction control since I have it off and confirmed. I sent a log to them to review as well.
