Dropped off my 991.1 yesterday at a client's dealership to be consigned, so now I get to spend the next XX months on the configurator. Looking to order a 992 for delivery late 2023 (happy 50th to me!) which I assume will be a 2024 model. When do dealers typically start taking orders on an upcoming model year?

I got my 2022 allocation in May. This was the first round of 2022 allocations, so May ‘23 is the earliest I’d expect a MY2024 to be available. Of course, you’ll be bumping up against the 992.2 at that point.

Happy impending birthday! I ordered my 2022 Targa 4 on April 25. Delivery was supposed to be Sept 1 but was pushed back by production delays. It's in production now, due to hit the docks next Friday.

Sweet! I'm looking at a Targa 4S. Torn between that and a GTS Cab but have always loved the Targas and not sure I would have much chance to utilize the extra 0.3 seconds in the 0-60.

There are lots of great choices. I didn't have one really. I had a chance for a Targa and I took the one that was available. The truth is, I wanted a Targa 4 but would have been just as happy with a 4s, just a little lighter in the wallet. Be nimble and get to work now to set the ground for when you need to act.

This is true. Might need to get on a list now for a Targa 4S in 2023.
