Default Manual transmission + Neutral rev limiter

Question for all the manual 992 owners...
WIthout launch control and revs limited to 3500 rpms,
what do you do to achieve the best off the line acceleration?
Just got my car so not experimenting yet.

I’m totally confused. I have a manual C2S. Is there a launch control protocol? There is nothing in the owners manual that I found. And what did he mean by saying “holding your LEFT foot down while clutch modulates???

I know how it works in the manual corvette. Basically, there is a rev limiter with the clutch in, then when you release the clutch you no lift shift. Just keep the throttle pinned and let traction control and the rev limiter do the rest. With the Porsche you don't really have to worry about traction control.

But from a standing start, you would already be in first gear right? So you are just dumping the clutch with the throttle pedal floored?

I don't think there's any way to maximize the launch of manual 992s. A 3500 RPM clutch dump still isn't enough to achieve the right amt of grip/slip to launch the car hard off the line, unless the roads a slightly damp. The only other alternative I see is to heel/toe brake and rev the engine as you slip the clutch, get the tires to almost start spinning or spinning just a little bit, then release the brakes and floor it as you completely pop the clutch. I don't even know if the 992's manual trans would allow this and I don't plan on trying it myself b/c I really have no need to ever launch this car hard off the line. It would have been great if they could have just made it like a normal manual transmission vehicle.

If Porsche wanted to protect us from doing stupid things, what they should have done is to build in a lockout that prevents accidentally shifting to a lower gear if it would result in overreving the engine and causing a money shift.

Thank you all for your input!
Agree that at 3500rpm, the car will stall like what happened to the guy in the above video.
I should have opted for the PDK!

this is more than a little annoying. why is porsche nerfing the manual like this? let us have our burn outs.

This may be something that can be adjusted by the PIWISS or similar programming device that would raise the limiter to a higher RPM.
