You can remove the rear seats any time, the problem is the latch anchors are still there (at least the lower ones are) and those are part of the tub. Rear seat belts and buckles are still installed. You would need to source the rear carpets that are seat delete specific. Some of it can be done some of it is built into the car its self. Its a question of do you want to be able to undo this at some point.
Please Porsche have a rear seat delete option in the full 9xx line! Since my first 911 in 1985 I wish this were a factory option.
If Porsche offered this, it would need to retune the suspension to account for reduction in weight from the absence of seats as well as the possibility that no passengers would ever be occupying that space.
I am not sure that this is something Porsche would endeavor to undertake, as it would be rather cost prohibitive. It's really the same reason Porsche has not and probably will never offer a backseat option on its GT3 cars.

Then how do you explain the 991.1 T? You could get that with LWBS which came with no rear seat. As far as I know there is no suspension changes between the standard interior and the LWBS interior on the T…
Also, isn’t it the same thing for the 992 GTS?

The GTS you need the Full Bucket Seats incl. Rear Seat Delete option. It's more of a track package and not comfortable seats for me personally. They're kind of like the GT3 RS seats and I won't be tracking the car. Just wish the rear seats could be deleted, nothing else. For anyone but babys in car seats the rear seats have always been silly IMO (7 911's in my past).

Am I the only one who loves using the rear seats folded to have two shelves when carrying stuff? It doubles the luggage space. Mine are almost always folded down for this reason.
Please don’t respond that 991s are for driving, not carrying stuff. This is a go everywhere DD for me.
