Default Door panel delamination?

Do any of you know if the 992 suffers from the dreaded door panel delamination issue like the non- full leather 991 does? Or maybe the 992 hasn’t been out long enough for this issue to have occurred yet. Just wondering in case I ever decide to replace my 991 with a 992 down the road.

I guess it’s a good sign that this thread isn’t getting deluged with “yup, it happened to me” responses.

I have a non-leather car, it’s 12 months old. What is the 991 issue you’re referring to exactly?

I know there were delamination issues with 981s (Boxsters and Caymans) but haven't heard of the same issue in the 991 or in the 992.

That issue was resolved in the 991.2 series.

Apparently the 991.1 model (and maybe some others?) without the full leather option had issues with the adhesive giving way on the top edge of the door panel, the panel peeling away from the rest of the door.

I wasn’t aware of that, but it’s good to know that it doesn’t affect the 992. I’ve got a 991.2, but it’s full leather.

Exactly that’s what happened with my 2016 991.1 S. Both door panels replaced under warranty and no further problems with them. Porsche sent me a $500 gift card and as I remember I used it for partial payment of a new set of rear tires.

Searched for my old pictures of the problem to no avail.
