Alarm goes off for no reason after I lock the doors and walk away.

still does it... they diagnosed it and found nothing.. Hoping there was a software update.. All I can think of is I have a Radar detector up near the rear view mirror, could be the cause?

I have a radar detector as well but no issue, but I do have the damn creaking from under the front of the windshield... if it's not one thing it's another

Mine does it after driving, or if i just unlock it and re arm. Also tried the disabling interior alarm but it keeps defaulting back to checked. Doing the double press of the lock on the fob, it gives the correct flashes, but still goes off. And the connect app shows interior alarm triggered.

So i came across an old thread in this forum here: https://rennlist.com/forums/992/1207...the-alarm.html
A guy there mentioned having something plugged into your ODBII port. and it hit me- i have an OBDII device for my car insurance plugged in. I put it in there from the moment i took delivery. I unplugged it after test driving last night, and the alarm didn't trigger. tried again this morning, no alarm. Could this actually be it???!??!?!?! The communication with the ODBII is triggering something in the alarm's functionality? i'm going to keep testing it today to see if it will still work. This has been such as souring experience to what should have been a thrilling weekend getting my car finally. I hope this isn't false hope for me. :-)

Is the detector hard wired into the overhead lights? If so, it could be drawing current that is making the car think the light has turned on. If not, I can't see how the detector hanging from a windshield mount could cause this.

Just as a quick update from my side.
I actually had my car in with Porsche last week for them to look at various issues including the alarm.
They mentioned that the log shows the alarm had gone off quite a few times, they managed to clear it and perform a full reset and update.
Since then I actually haven’t had the issue.

since this thread popped up again, let me add more data points. If you have anything in your ODBII port with at least MY2022 Porsches, you'll likely encounter the alarm issue. Not only have I experienced this in my car, but the few times i've taken my car in to the dealer, they gave me a Macan loaner. My dealer puts a tracker in the ODBII port, and the alarm goes off within 30 seconds after locking it. It's happened to me with 2 different Macan loaners now, so this seems to be some kind of issue Porsche wide.

Hi!
@Lee8084 I know the thread started quite a bit ago, but I’m experiencing the same thing and curious to know if I should just go to asking to have the sensor/console replaced?
Thank you!

I don’t have anything plugged into the OBDII port, but the car is covered and and I’m trying to figure out if that has anything to do with that, although it’s the interior motion sensor that’s being triggered. The team from Porsche connect who calls when the alarm goes off thought it could even be an unstable satellite connection or the dash creaking. Oh the process of elimination… Thanks again.
