Default sun visors

Why in the world are these things fixed? Visors in every cheap rental car in the world can slide back and forth to cover all angles and the hole between the end of the visor and the door post but not Porsche.

Why not?

Does anyone make some kind of extension?

There are worse ones out there, but I believe this is a Porsche thing throughout their line believe it or not!
I searched and ended up with these or you could make your own and save $20:

My '21 Cayenne has two visors stacked, huge coverage of both the front window and side window. But its also a 5.000 lb vehicle. 911's are always weight conscious, even down to ounces. They try to put no more "luxury" items in the car than is absolutely necessary. Weight is the enemy of performance.

Curb weight of a Macan is 4300 lbs and its visors are as poor as the 911.

I'm sure these would be readily available at either Wal Mart or any Dollar Store. I recently saw a pair installed on a '68 Mercury Maurader - they looked really nice.

I have too much time on my hands, searched Google for "porsche 992 visor extension":
  1. The #1 result is a forum post in the UK site. The Amazon UK item seems the same as
    this one this one
    .
  2. The #2 is result is
    this one this one
    at Amazon.
  3. Amazon says #2 will not fit my 2020 992. It offers these
    sun visor sun visor
    results instead.
    This one This one
looks promising (and I can have it in my hands tomorrow - Love Amazon).
Disclaimer: I have no experience with and don't know if any of the above products will actually work with our 992 sun visors.

I too have a 2021 Cayenne and the visors are just as bad as the ones in the 2006 Cayman S. My Mercedes GL450 has great visors by comparison. They slide so you can adjust them and they are tall enough to actually work even at sunrise/sunset when the sun is right in your eyes. Not Porsche. I bought these for the Cayenne:

. They do work but they are bulky and I don't really like them. I would love a better solution. Something much thinner and simpler would be great. Still looking...

This is the same company that uses a sticker instead of an emblem to save weight on the RS…I’m more shocked they include sunvisors at all.

I bought these as a temporary fix. Not beautiful but they work.

Might I suggest sunglasses, tinted windows, or both. Welcome.

On the issue of sun visors. I read on another thread that the sun visors are made of cheap plastic. Waiting for a November delivery of a 2024 Adventurine Green Cab 4S with truffle seats. Worth $560.00 for the leather visors?

Yes, I understand how small a percentage $560.00 is to the overall cost. But at some point you just need to stop........

The standard visors look fine but feel cheap to the touch. Yes, it's an outrageous price for what it is; you have to decide if it's worth making that particular touch point feel more premium to you. Note that the upgraded visors still come with the ugly mandatory airbag warning labels in the US; if you want to avoid those, you'll need to purchase EU-spec visors separately for a higher price.
