I thought I'd circle back to this thread and report that today, 2 weeks prior to my lock date, I changed my color from Aventurine Green to Shark Blue! Big change, eh? I'm excited!

Exactly right. Theres nothing boring to those colors tho. Silver in a porsche still is king.
IDK about "king" but to me, an ardent racing fan, silver or white are the colors a Porsche SHOULD be. I love PG and LO but a silver 911 will draw more attention than necessary in WNY so no need to scream to the treetops with PG, GR, or LO. If I lived in a warm wealthier locale than where I am now, I'd definitely go for a brighter color, history be damned.
I see a bunch of people in different threads saying things like “silver js njce, white to but they are boring” thats like saying you have to dress like a clown when you go out or else you are boring, what happened to class and style? More and more people are painting their cars with weird colors just to stand out and not “be boring” and its ridiculous. Lizzard green or whatever its called is boring AF because you will get tired of it in a month. Buy cars that will last forever. Classic colors are the best. Sorry 😙
Anyone saying “white is boring” has clearly never seen a Carrara White Metallic 911 in person.

Carrara White Metallic is the king in my opinion, named after Carrara marble it reflects light exceedingly well.
GT Silver? does very well in sunsets as well from the photos of other peoples cars that I have seen

You have it backwards. People have seen it, over and over and over again. Do you know how many 911s with white exterior and black or burgundy interiors there are in the world??? That's what makes it boring.
I have an entire wardrobe of black and white clothes, they are all still unique pieces
anyways, my point was that its not enough about the white color itself. I pointed out the marble reference because of youve ever been to a place built with excessive amounts of white marble you would know that it reflects light pretty well, sometimes even blindingly so. visit the taj mahal in middle of september and you'll know what I am talking about.
you only think you've seen Carrara White Metallic, but can you really see a blank canvas when you can infinite variations on it?
