I still have my original 2007 iPhone and just the other day I watched Steve Job’s announcement of it again. Putting aside some now-odd terminology it’s amazing how similar the current iPhones are to those original ones. Life has not been the same since.

I got married in 2007. I remember texting my friends using T9 and a flip phone at the time. Being 45 it's interesting because I'm probably in the last generation to live in a world of only TV and radio, transitioning to personal computers, dial up internet and BBS's, the Internet in the mid 90s and smartphones in 2007.

I tell this to my daughter and she looks at me like I'm a fossil. It's impossible for her to fathom a world without an iPhone, much less the Internet or computers. I'm glad to have known a world without it.

In the 70’s, my wife was one of the first in the country to work from home. She was a math/CS major in college and developed banking software. For many years, she had to do her work related communication, using a dial up modem, @24Kbaud. Those were the days!

Well, Porsche asked Google nicely to respect the privacy of its extremely lucrative customers and Google told Porsche "**** you" and Porsche replied New York style. This tiff has apparently been resolved.
