Like you, I notice the ever so slight front rake up and it drives me NUTS!!! Rear height is 100% fine with me as is. Just thinking front install only, but curious what your experience was.

Also, how low in MM did you go over factory and did you have the already lowered 10mm factory PASM too?

Best looking stance I have seen. I dont want to really lower, getting PASM on mine - getting built currently, but want the front to come down just a tad - maybe 10mm more to match the rear better? Curious what your wheel gap - front to rear after install measurements show.

By the way, how adjustable are the H&R VTF height adjustable lowering springs in MM (the range max MM to min MM) and do you have the part #?

Thanks again!!!

Nice job! The aluminum illuminated side sills was a pricey $900 option. Yet, I'm so glad I got them because they are very noticeable and adds such a touch of class every time I enter or exit the vehicle. I know the instructions looked pretty extensive. Was it a hard install to route all the wiring, etc.? Or was it pretty straightforward?

Also, with respect to your GIAC tune, did you consider M Engineering also? Was there a reason you chose to go with GIAC, which appears to require ECU removal, vs. M Engineering which is an OBD port flash tune? If you have to get the car smogged, do you have to go back to GIAC to reflash back to stock map?

There was a post showing a good YouTube video of a man installing lit carbon fiber door sills, you'll have to search for it. It didn't look that hard, just had to finesse the removal.

Easy install, no coding, just run the wiring for the sills. I considered other tuners but GIAC has a strong reputation with Porsche and have tuned my 991 Turbo S, 991.2 C4, 991.1 C4S etc so I wanted to stick to what works for a strong 91 octane pump gas file. Not saying the other options don't work, but GIAC has done well so there is no reason to change now.

I think you are asking me but quoted another user. The car is lowered on the VTF springs front and rear. I am not sure if I would install front or rear only to avoid upsetting the balance or spring rates. The car was lowered around 20mm front and 10-15mm rear to even out the rake. The VTF springs ride really nice and the lowered height does not negatively impact the ride quality.

The door sills are plug and play, there is some wiring involved (simply plugging pins into connectors and setting up grounds) but no coding was needed. Software was straight forward, but ecu removal is required.

Managed to "retrofit" (more like coding!) the Sport Exhaust button into the radio screen and it is fully functional.

I also have some other tricks that I will share shortly.. stay tuned!

CSF Intercooler system installed! This thing really makes a difference with even just the tune and exhaust on the 992 C4S. Mid range and top end power feels a lot stronger, especially in 3rd and higher gears.

Some pics from the installation.

Time to stop! Brembo's B-M6 front and B-M4 rear kits were chosen to improve the stock braking that Porsche offered with this steel brake equipped 992 C4S. The stock drilled discs offer great performance for around town use, but for aggressive driving, track use, and canyon abuse, a slotted rotor with more aggressive pad compound did the trick. These are Brembo's Type 3 slotted rotors with Racetechnolgies TS20 pad set - a clean daily driver pad that also takes tons of abuse; perfect for this car.

Is that the OEM AeroKit wing? Also, which suspension are you on?

Its on H&R Height Adjustable springs. I have a ton of updates for this thread, just trying to find all my pics.

Thanks for the response. How difficult was the wing install?

Foolish question as perhaps you're not going to rely on the dealer for much, but whats the typical dealer reaction to the basic mod tuning like spacers/springs and even the more advanced things giac/tuning?

I have spacers and the dealers are fine with it. My dealership is also pro-tune; even suggesting they’d assist.

The install was pretty straight forward which is expected using OEM Porsche parts. We are also pretty familiar with Techart and other various aftermarket parts so we have an easy mind set with parts like this. Programming will need to be carried out with the PIWIS 3 tool (either a specialist with the real tool or the dealer) and paint work is needed.

We find most dealers are pretty comfortable with modified Porsches. There are some exceptions of course, but I feel they understand their core clientele is of the enthusiast market. Exhausts, wheels, tires, suspension, and aero are easy things. Software however can be a issue with Porsche USA for warranty claims, but its best to feel your dealer's service department out for modifications if you are warranty conscious. In our case, our cars don't have a reason to really visit the dealers as we do our own servicing in house, so we are ok!
