Did you check the level after the oil change? If the dealer had underfilled so it was only slightly into the green, you may not have burned a ton of oil.

Pressure, yes. Temp, yes. No oil “level” (quantity) displayed. My Porsche service manager said they use Mobil One oil. Either 0-40W or 5-40W is fine. If I lived in very cold climate, I’d prob use 0-40W year round.

Yea I think thats what happened. I checked it a couple of months after the oil change and it was very close to the minimum level. I'm gonna throw in a quart and watch it carefully.

I see the same thing. I cannot see anywhere in the PCM where the oil level is displayed. I'm thinking one must rely on an idiot light?

You can determine the oil level by using the right spin dial on the steering wheel to display the temp screen then depress spin dial and scroll & select oil level measurement. Engine must be fully warmed-up prior to measuring oil level.

One other thing to consider... Your level will vary based on engine temps. If it's dead cold, it will read lower. After a good session of flogging, higher.

My car was delivered with the oil at the half way mark. I changed it at 1500 miles and added oil to get it to full since I'm tracking it. No oil has been consumed since. If you add oil, do it in small increments because it is hard to get it out if you overfill it.
