Shut off Bluetooth for CarPlay on your phone and it'll all work properly. Well . . . . except that to use CarPlay you'll need to have the phone connected to the USB Port in the Arm Rest.
Settings > General > CarPlay > PORSCHE > CarPlay Slide Button in the "Off" position

I've never seen anything to do with Bluetooth mention a data connection. Could there be a problem with the sim card/data side of things in the car that is then somehow affecting the Bluetooth? Just a guess but could be worth mentioning to the dealer. Good luck.

Well, the first thing you should do is try it with a different phone - a friend, a relative, etc. Does it pair up with a different phone? If it does, then its your phone. If it doesn't, then its the car.

Nah, I'm fresh out of thoughts on this one. Next time I'm up at Cold Springs Tavern, if your issue isn't yet resolved, we'll have to see what we can do.

They tried a different phone and it still didn't work? Well they need to replace that module in the PCM. Start raising hell, tell the service manager if he can't get it to pair with his phone - then the car doesn't work, period. Start calling PCNA.

The GM of the dealership( who's a good guy) has taken over and is on PCNA's case, so we'll see. carl

Had this exact issue. Sat at DTLA for two weeks while they chased PCNA on it, and it ended up being escalated pretty high in the PCNA org. Turns out PCNA needed to fix something on the their backend as well as doing the factory reset of the PCM, but it worked.

You may want to have your dealer call Jeff at DTLA service for the details.
