I am confused about Apple Play. It says it is included free for three years in 2022 model. Is it free forever on 2021s? That means 2022 is $2360 more expensive.

Is there any way to still use the 2021 configurator?
Yes, it's free forever with our 2020 and 2021 cars.

  • Roof transport system preparation $60 — new add on fee

What exactly is the roof transport system preparation? I ordered my 2021 with no sunroof. (65 days till delivery) I'm thinking I'd like to add a roof rack at some point in the future. Is the roof transport system preparation something a dealer can do after delivery?
(Also ordered noise reduction glass and quad tailpipes)

I also noticed that the Bordeaux Red in the new configurator looks much darker - truer to its actual color. I'm not getting the 3D animation view on my MacBook.

I noticed the same things as mentioned, at least on the Canada config site.
* A second "premium package" that includes that fancy remote Parking (Park Assist Plus)
* The new Shark Blue
* The $$ for wireless carplay. But three years is included free, as standard.
* The pricing gap between the GT wheel and the heated GT wheel looks odd, unlike before. But I may be wrong here.
* No more noise insulating glass
* Embossed leather headrests is listed as a standard option, yet the visual in the configurator doesn't reflect this.
* Tire sealing compound and compressor is listed as standard, and also listed as a chargeable option. Confusing.

* Higher MSRP by $2000 CAD

Site itself doesn't seem to be updating in real-time as well as before. Maybe they need to get some bugs out.

Not sure about the roof transport system but there are options even if you don't have it. I would guess the prep is a pair of channels in the roof seams for rack attachment.

Price for my recently locked and scheduled for April production/June delivery build is $2k more exactly.

As far as CarPlay, this is not a subscription feature, so not sure how/why it would be $360 to add unlimited usage. Are they adding a timer in the PCM system to disable it after 36 months unless you pay for it?!? That would be like disabling bluetooth after 3 years! The only thing that I wanted in the 992 that Porsche wasn't offering yet and I don't suspect is coming till the 992.2 at the earliest is Apple CarKey. And that would require a subscription I believe. But it does not appear that this is the change, so who knows.

Why would they do that? I have no interest in PSP. I wonder if you can unselect it?

Not surprised to see them remove the noise-insulated glass considering the tint issues that happened.

GT3 is also up on the Canadian configurator: $180,300 base price.

Looks like Porsche up-selling the exclusive design quad tip options by making the base tips standard.

The Apple CarPlay is interesting. Hopefully existing owners won’t have to start paying a subscription for it.

Just got my formal allocation for a TTS!

Price bump is a bummer. $3500 for the TT/TTS. Stinks.

For anyone interested - the pre-approved PTS list is MASSIVELY expanded.

Sorry if I missed this. What are the tint issues associated with the noise-insulated glass?

Another interesting note. Night blue metallic is being phased out for a "new color".

They are limiting noise insulated glass to the TTS only and standard on GT3, according to the info sheet I received.

I placed a deposit on a confirmed 2021 Carrera S allocation that locks in April. Does this mean my car will now be bumped to a 2022 and cost $2K more? What if I want to stay with a 2021 model (I like the blacked out roof with glass sunroof option, free Apple CarPlay, and of course $2K cheaper price). Would I be able to stay with my 2021 build or are we all forced into a 2022 model?

Congratulations! Are you planning to do PTS?
