We need to talk privately about an exchange of salmon for some nectar of the Gods Sir; for medicinal purposes of course and to keep the cold at bay.

As to -30F, nah schools don't close until we hit -40F and the lowest we got a few years ago was -50C... well that's as low as the thermometer went. A 5 dog night as I remember...

In fact, in the past I have had a few 911's come in at the same time with different brand tires.
Indeed, some have had Contis etc. Am familiar with the Pirellis of course, Nokian have been my winter forever tires (alas none made for the 992) and Blizzaks. I've never had P Zero on any car I've owned that I can recall and for winter after reading from folks who were faced with the choice between Michelin and Pirelli most I gathered opted for the Alpin and so I went with them. I'd written to the GM of Nokian whom I know in the hopes of pushing them for a 992 tire but no joy so far. Perhaps in the near future they will reconsider.

So much to look forward to, and the days just seem to drag...

Sounds like a plan 😂 a good smoky Lagavulin is exactly what the Doctor ordered.

That is one crazy temperature... heated seats on full burn for that one 😂

Been trying to find an old limited edition one called "Whiskey of Ye Monks", used to come in a croc, but a Lagavulin...hmmm, this needs to be taken off line!

Another reason I've been after remote start. Installed one in the wife's Touareg made all the difference. Sold it with 115k miles on it and never a peep about cylinder scoring etc.

So some minor damage has been reported in the shipping between CT and WA and of course the insurers are scurrying for cover. Looks like a minor stone chip, now to find the culprit...

Of course I (hope) not to do worse, but when you pay over 6 grand to ship and insure a car...

OK So I've just gotten off the phone with the shipper and the car is being offloaded from the boat as we speak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I did mention "carefully when off loading please".

I will be flying down Friday with a friend and 991 owner for the drive back. Temps should be in the 50s, so I won't need to swap for winter tires and let's hope for good weather and a memorable first 400 miles trip home. Only luggage will be a camera and temp registration.

This is HAPPENING FOLKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't been this excited since... well never mind
