OK, first little crumbs until tomorrow. An absolutely gorgeous day, Mt Denali undressed for us, hardly a car on the road... and my garage seems very happy again for some reason. Thanx to my co-pilot Pat for the pictures and company. More to follow including first impressions in a separate thread. Longest 3 months in memory

No I meant posting BEFORE submitting the pics but it's been such a long trip to get it to 4,770 miles from Anchorage (which is about 400 miles from my place) that I was hoping for some indulgence in allowing me to post a couple of days prior.

See? It's always better to do and ask for forgiveness later
I'll post as soon as I receive them Monday! Thanx for the understanding...won't be sleeping for the next couple of nights (yeah the 13 hours of daylight don't help either...)
took my car for a spin today, still under 100 miles , it handles better than my 718 GT4
my son took both out for a spin , and his vote went to the C4S which surprised me
Siberian , you will love the car
Congrats! I grew up in Anchorage and remember driving in the winters there. I also owned a 2015 RS5 and miss that car. I can say that my C4S is my favorite car that I have ever owned though, and I am thoroughly impressed by the driving experience. You will not be disappointed making the change from the RS5.
Well I'm not getting rid of the V8 Touareg which is my DD!
TBH, I was very underwhelmed by the RS5. Audi's minimalist approach with no data available as to what's happening in the engine was very disappointing. The eigenfrequency was a PITA and irrelevant compared to a TPMS system. But I digress. I do regret there not being any Nokian tires available for the 992 but from what I've read and @drgav2005 comment, seems the Michelin Alpin 5 are pretty good on snow. We don't get as much slush as in Anchorage but break-ups are bad so the car will be dirty, but will be driven.
My last 911 was 40 years ago (and that shared it's 2.2L engine with my VW Westphalia during camping season as I used to swap engines) so that mixed with memories will hopefully not disappoint given the leaps in technology in the intervening years. Thank you all, it makes the wait even more excruciating!
And yes, 991.1Guy that is very true! Just another couple of days...
