Default Custom 992 Mesh Grille Option?

Hey guys....so looked at the Zunsport grilles (had them before with my 2014 Cayman S) and while they are great products I for one would appreciate a set up that fits behind the vents without removal of the front bumpers. So it was nice that he when I contacted Matt (owner) he did offer to add the 992 setup and would be happy to sell me a set. Unfortunately he doesn't have a 2020+ 992 Carrera to prototype but replied that he's looking for a car to prototype and do a set but since I am in West Michigan my car is unavailable. However if any of you guys are nearby we'll here's your chance to get a set AND help the rest of us out! Matt's P\proposed grilles fit/go behind the vents on the car and hopefully the plan is for the owner to be able to do so behind the main grille set and without the bumper removal which gives you another options than Zunsport.

SO if any of you guys are in the area and game then give him a call/shout. Matt is the owner and he can be reached atinfo@customcargrills.com.

Who knows maybe we can get a group-buy outta this.

You can buy the mesh and rubber trim from custom car grilles and just make your own. It’s what I did.

I would most certainly find a way to screw this up and make it look terrible.

I thought the zunsports did fit behind the vents without removing the bumper? They are 4 small little grills. Two per side? Oh wait, I have the sport design bumper. If thats what you have, you dont have to remove the bumper for the zunsports and they are behind the plastic.

Yep, Zunnsports already fit behind the slats on a Sport Design front end (and don't look bad at all). What's needed is a solution that fits behind the aero slats on a standard 992 front end.

How do you like the grill inserts on your sports design front end?

Yeah I hope and am hoping Matt can provide that solution for behind the aero slats for his option. Just needs a car.

Rennline is working in 992 grills for the sport design front.

Glad to hear it. Any idea when they might arrive to the market?

I’d rather have the Rennline solution...Zunnsport too much like a chain link fence for me.

I don’t have fond memories of the labor camps in my native country but I find the chain link fence design familiar and reassuring.

They didn’t have an ETA, but I suspect the more of us that call them....

CustomCarGrills.com only advertises this product for the GTS, but isn't it the same front end with a regular 911 with the sport design front? The Zunnsport is expensive and you have to screw them in.

Yes, the GTS and the sport design or aero kit package cars share the same front bumper and the grilles will fit. Hope that helps!

As always “Expensive” is a relative term.

Installing the 992 ZunSports via four small screws is true…but it was a simple install.

IMHO the grills offer protection for the condensers and look great.
