Fort those with Targas, did you order yours with PDCC? The way this is discussed it seems like it's a "necessity" on the Targa, but I'd like to know if anyone ordered it (or didn't) and what your impressions are of the way the car handles.
In one review, it was mentioned that PDCC could make passengers sick because the car is behaving differently than one would expect, but I don't know if this was an exaggeration or not.

PDCC is never a necessity in a 911. You’ll be fine without it.

I did order it. The feel is that it’s incredibly planted especially when cornering. No nausea either.

I ordered it on mine as well. There is the PDCC toggle to turn it off if so desired.

I had PDCC and RAS (standard) on a 991.2 Turbo S and loved the handling, so ordered them on my Targa. Had seen recommendations for PDCC on Targas on review videos (weight, higher center of gravity). Have not done a side by side comparison, but do love the handling and never have I or a passenger had any "sick" feeling from it. I don't feel anything unnatural about a flat ride during an aggressive cornering. And to clarify, the toggle switch does not turn PDCC off - just adjusts it to a more or less aggressive setting.

I have PDCC and RWS on my 992 Cab and love what it does. While pricey, I don't think you will regret it. Also, you get the Li-Ion lightweight battery standard with RWS.

I didn’t have it on my 991.2 Targa GTS and didn’t order it on the 992 Targa 4S. I think you will be happy either way. I feel like the PDCC takes a little feeling away. I don’t think you get higher limits with PDCC, just less leaning which to me removes a sensation of when you might be about to lose it on the edge. Maybe I’m wrong there.

After thinking about it, I’m going to spec a silver targa bar, 5 lug silver wheels (would still
love the exclusive design wheels in gloss black), full leather interior and basically change most of the cosmetic features of the GTS to what can be ordered on the 4S. Yes, I would be losing a small bit of power, but I’m not sure ordering a GTS is the right move for me with a Targa. If memory serves me correctly, the Targa GTS wasn’t available with a lowered suspension, just as the standard Targa 4 and 4S can’t be equipped with SPASM.
From a financial standpoint, the 4S may work out better if I choose not to buy the car out at the end of the lease. I’m planning to lease mine through my business and the residual of the 4S has also been historically higher than the GTS. I do understand that “real world” depreciation of a GTS may be different than what the residual indicates and, if I do go with the GTS , there may some money in the car if I buy it out instead of returning it at the end of the lease.

Very simply, we bought the GTS CPO and it wasn’t exactly what we would have ordered color combo wise. We were offered the opportunity to configure a new Targa 4S. Who knows when the 992 GTS shows up.
