74 yr old’s last Porsche
I’ve enjoyed owning two 356’s, a ‘56 and ‘65 and also a 1990 Carrera 2. Please take a look at my proposed build and any feedback would be appreciated. I believe that the base has plenty of power, and my wife will be driving it so going with the PDK. We’ve seldom opened the sunroof on our other cars, so intentionally left off of the build. TIA

Looks great. I'm not 100% convinced on the Mojave with Gentian Blue. I think Slate, Chalk, Black or Sport-Tex would be my choice. Either way I'd go with leather interior
Otherwise looks like a fun car, but I personally would not upsize the wheels on the base Carrera. The smaller wheel size may actually be an advantage. Smaller wheels are often more fun - faster to spin up and less grip.

Looks really nice. I really like the Gentian Blue and retaining the silver wheels really works!
A few thoughts (of course); Be sure to take a look at the Mojave Beige in person. I was all set for Mojave Beige based on a color I had in a 356 many (as in many, many) years ago. But then my in person impression of this Mojave Beige was that it looked a bit to plasticky (if that makes any sense). The other thing that comes to mind is to be sure you and your wife try the 18-way seats. My better half has a bit of arthritis. After she sat in the 18-way seats, that choice was made for me and I'm not complaining one little bit. We also really like the ventilated seats!
Good call on the side skirts. That's probably the one option box I wish I'd checked and didn't. Not a big deal. but they do improve the look of that car.

I would also add Full leather and deviated Chalk stitching, I believe the full leather really adds to your experience and enjoyment
Also try a build incorporating the Premium package, this would add Bose premium sound and Surround view possibly fork the same price or even a savings
The other options that you already specified are part the premium package
Because you are in NorCal I would also add heated seats and the heated steering wheel
Good luck and enjoy your new 992

I’d get rid of the sport exhaust and put the money into leather interior
I’ve got a new one coming in April and I test drove one with sports exhaust and just didn’t see value for money
didn’t make the car go any faster and I don’t need loud at my age 67
enjoy the car!

Why your last? Your age or Porsche not making anymore? My Dad is still going strong at 88. Too bad he drives Vettes!

It’s a nice build, congrats. The 14-ways are better for ingress and egress, and you will appreciate the PLDS+ at night. If the budget is tight, you might consider removing the exterior side trim and adding wood trim to the beige interior. I’ve seen that and it looks nice. You might also consider the glass sunroof just for the open feeling it gives in the cabin.
The choice of rims is nice, but you could go standard. There are advantages for a C2 in ride and weight, but also snow tires.
Good luck and don’t forget to share delivery photos!
