How much louder is the valved system + sport cats versus PSE + sport cats

Anybody have any real life experience comparing both?

I'd say have a chat with the mythical and magnificent John Gaydos here but I know you already have! I've ridden shotgun and filmed all the possible combinations from the outside - I'll do my best! The one important part of the sound equation is the function of the factory valves - they're variable. Your experience will be vastly different if you're running a tune that can lock the valves fully open with PSE activated. The best way to describe how that works is imagine the 991.1 Carrera gradually going from valves closed to valves open over a gradual amount. On the 991.1 Carrera our Sport Cats make it sound like a different car with valves open, and the valves closed path has a nice calm volume but improved tone. We designed our 992 VES to enhance tone across the board knowing that the system might be run under both variable and valves forced open conditions.

If you have the valves forced open our Valved Exhaust System will greatly enhance the tone of the exhaust note - more mechanical, sharper, more clear. It will still be acceptable for a daily driver with exhaust notes similar to a 991.1 Carrera with sport cats, headers, and upgraded air filter in valves open mode.

With valves operating under factory conditions, the volume will gradually rise and under full throttle conditions offers you a much more invigorating experience as mentioned above. The key difference between PSE and our VES is with the valves closed it enhances the tone to be higher pitched and smoother. Whereas the factory system is not noteworthy at all when being driven calm, our system adds a bit more excitement to normal driving.

I'd say 15% louder.. Its the change in the tone thats most notable. Deeper Richer sound.

I'm running the non-valved system with the sport cats. Extremely aggressive sounding!

^ @Soul Performance does the bumper need to be removed for the install of the nonvalved exhaust? I’ll be getting this put in within a couple of weeks

You don't have to, and we did not for any part of development or installation of the system for these cars. Are you thinking of installing yourself or at a specialty shop?

you can do it yourself. I spend the better part of the install getting to the damn bolt that holds the clamp for the turbo and cat.

The OEM valves are electrically controlled correct? Any thoughts on using a simple relay to force the valves open at all times?
