I wouldn't get too excited about ***** and what-not until Porsche shows an 8 speed with a big lever. This is the old seven speed unit. They're not going to meet their regulatory emissions requirements and CO2 targets putting the 7 speed PDK in the large volume 992s.

Why can't they use this with the 8-speed? Is there a physical connection between either the 7-speed or 8-speed PDK gearbox, e.g. cables, like there is in the manual?
