I agree the new GT3 shifter being wrong for a PDK car, especially with the leather boot. Can you imagine how many times the non - porsche people will say while they are looking through your window “That cool! You got a manual” Nope it’s not......

This is hardly the first time an auto shifter looks at a glance like a manual. A slightly longer glance at the shifter, you see the P N D R markings, and mystery solved.
I'd far prefer an auto that looks like a manual than that pathetic looking shaver.
I'd imagine that the buttons on the manual transmission shifter and the PDK shifter are identical, save for the patterns inscribed on them. As a theft deterrent, one could replace one with the other. Stymied by a pattern that in no way was actually functional, a potential thief might be thwarted. I would guess that a video of such would be quite popular.

Thats true - If you take a good long look at it you can clearly see the PNDR markings...
We will have to agree to disagree on this one. I think the nubbin works great with the new 992 interior. I don’t miss the shifter in my 991.2 at all. I’ll admit I never shifted using it, only once just to try it. I get that functionality being removed is a big deal for some, but in the looks department I’m very happy with it.
