does anyone have real photo of child's ( 10 or 12 ) sitting in the rear seats ? i have this enormous doubt and my local dealer does not have a 992 to see and try
Ok so not older kids, but this gives you an idea of space (not a lot at all). I have twin boys and fit them in the back of my 992 Cab.
These car seats are safety tested and all, but not a alot of side support. So we love them for the short Sunday cruises with Dad or a travel seat.
I have a 12 yo boy, and he's not a happy camper if he has to sit there for too long. He's about 5'4". Good thing that the dashboard of the 992 is located more forward than the 991, allowing the front seats (more so the driver) to be moved a bit more FW. From the 997 to the 991 there was a real mild increase in cabin measurements , not with the 992.
Also remember that there's no side airbag and the whiplash protection is inexistent after a certain height. The back of the front seats sit really close to their faces. The rear seat backrest on the cab has a tilt forward compared to the coupe.
If I'm hauling them to and fro, the older goes in the front and the younger still fits decently on the back (8yo). If the mother is coming along, it has to be a short trip. I used to take everyone plus 2 small dogs to track days on the 991.2. It was interesting watching people's reaction as we start to get out of the car and empty the trunk.
How this car is certified as a 4 seater is beyond me. Past 10 yo it's just not as safe. In truth, there's few convertibles that are safe and comfortable in the back, none of them exciting to drive. I know it's my last 911 as a family hauler. It was great while it lasted (12 years). I'm glad I had it and wouldn't do it any different. Don't waste time, kids grow quick. Get one if you can and enjoy it!
thank you so much ,the real dilemma is the space for the feet and knees, but i look that there is more space than i mean . i would like to use the porsche like a daily driver for working days and for family week end short trip. 1 or 2 days away( lovely baby ! )

I have a targa and 10 and 12 year old girls. They are fine in the back there's plenty of room. In fact they prefer it.
