UPDATE ALIGNMENT

So the car is finally ready. Herewith the information of the alignment. I am not a specialist nor technician in these things. I just can feel most minor changes in the car while driving.

Below I have quoted myself what I have noticed with this car. A slight heavy feeling in the steering which I hoped was not because of the lack of variable sport steering. Conclusion: it’s not. And it’s also not the tyre pressure.

We noticed a slight difference on the back wheels which is now corrected. We also saw there was not much camber at the front. So based on my driving experience he suggested to put more camber in the front. We did a 40% camber. I guess this is too much, but better to start at the ends and adjust accordingly.

This changed the car completely and made everything more direct in the initial steering input, so in the exact sense that I was missing before. My other Porsches have always been adjusted as well so this felt like coming home. Dear me, what an impressive change of steering behavior.

I guess he now went almost full lock for street driving. I will now test the car with 90l full fuel tank (it was completely empty this morning so perfect for testing the differences). To see how that feels. I will also test it at high highway speeds. I assume it will be a bit more nervous at very high speeds. So I assume I will be lowering the camber by 20% after thorough testing. Then it will be 20% more than it was. I am guessing that would be perfect for me.

I would always advice everybody to check the alignment of every car. It’s simple and very cheap to do and the results are most of the times quite big.

Fixed it. The first URL I picked wasn't working.

Right now experimenting with the tyre pressure and alignment of the car. Usually Porsche is a bit on the safe side or at least things are not aligned perfectly. Update will follow later.

I remember someone was asking for pictures of the bottom of the car.

That was ME(!) thank you @Macboy

I particularly like these... thanks again for posting.

Home stretch fellas. The T is on US soil!

Any of you guys do the tire/wheel or windshield insurance? After seeing the cracked windshield, it got me thinking.
I ended up getting it when I had my G80 M3 and got a flat that would have cost me $500. It was a nice piece of mind. When I sold it, the insurance was prorated, so that was nice.

got snookered for the wheel/tire coverage. first i refused, than all of a sudden the term of the coverage got extended for the same price!

i really was going to refuse until i thought about the likely paucity of the agate/titanium finish on secondary market in the future....

I’ll never buy windshield insurance - it’s included in my Comprehensive Auto coverage so additional insurance is a waste.

I did take the allocation, I certainly didn't want to miss out and the sooner I get the car the better in my mind.

1. Did you get the OEM ones from Porsche (GT3 Side Skirt Set SKU: PQ69315), if so, how well do they match the Agate Gray that the T comes with?
2. How hard was it to install? Or if you had the dealer do it, how many labor hours did they quote you?

Thanks!
They were OEM and supplied by the dealership and they fitted while I waited… took no time at all.
I’m delighted with them and they match up nicely! I think it gives the car a lovely stance… I notice them every time I go in the garage! Even my wife agreed it was a good upgrade!

Definitely improves the stance! I just hope I can see it in person someday. 😂. Originally supposed to leave port on 4-24.

Did the dealer paint them too?
