I went in for 1-year service last week and they cracked mine while testing it for the recall. Great.
My bad windshield history thus far:
1) Car arrived with a damaged windshield (replaced). It looked like someone tried to remove glue/tar/sap with steel wool and had abrasion damage in a spot in the middle.
2) Heard wind noise from the 2nd windshield (they re-attached, windshield service trip #2).
3) And then last Thursday they cracked that one.
Awesomely (NOT!), they tested it for the recall on Thursday morning (the day I was supposed to pick it up), even though I dropped it off on Monday morning for the 1-year service, and to deal with a squeak in the seat-belt housing. Even though I called each day to check on progress. Very frustrating; not impressed.
@gargey Sorry to hear about your troubles. I trust mine will not be as bad. Will keep you posted.

By the way, a (large) cabin size suitcase neatly drops in to that space, unless the seat is pushed right back. So you can put in two, which gives a flat surface on which you can pile more crap, before you even fill the frunk.
Therefore the T can indeed stand for Touring.
I actually had a very similar experience and even with the service bulletin and back and forth with the service manager, the dealer refused to fix it so I had to go through insurance to fix it (0 deductible in ny).
good luck and stay firm! I had no patience and just solved it because it really annoyed me.

Hi @Pivot Just to give you an update re the windscreen. Mine was tested on Wednesday the 24th at my OPC. under recall ARA3. They confirmed it was all fine. On Thursday 25th I drove to Somerset and stayed a night with a friend on Friday the 26th I drove to Oxfordshire and met up with some friends for lunch, left the T at their house and went in their car to a pub in Crawley. When I came to leave the cracks in the screen had appeared, they were not there when I parked up, barely 24 hours after the stress test on the sealant. The small chip which can be seen in the photos happened on the 19th February, which was two months previously and nothing had happened till now. I went to OPC on my way back from Silverstone who's warranty manager was extremely defensive when I suggested it might have been to do with stress test.
The car is now booked in on the 22nd of this month to be assessed ? I can see where this is leading with my so called stone chip as a let out.
In my view it is a straight forward warranty claim.
I seem to recollect that some in the USA have had immediate acceptance by their dealers on windscreen claims. @Wilder & @Scott P
Also is you recall not due on the 22n May and I seem to recollect that your OPC in Guildford wanted to keep the car overnight?
I will keep you posted but be forewarned what a stress test might do?
Best, Devon Racer.
Hey @Devon Racer this is not cricket! Sorry man! What kind of stress test did they perform?
Yes the OPC wants to keep mine overnight, now that I have seen yours, I am not sure I want them to test it. I have done two European tours, multiple mosquito-tests on the Autobahn at +200km/h. What else is there to do? Rubber mallet?

I agree, what does this test consist of? I may not take mine in for testing.

I was told that first they look at the window's edges for discoloration, if there is they put some sort of window glazer's tool on the glass using suction and pull it to a certain amount of tension. If the glass moves it fails and has to be replaced due to bad sealant techniques. The service manager at my dealership took a 20 second look at mine and said that the recall was open and continuing and that he saw no indication of imminent failure and away I went.
I thought it would be a visual inspection. If I'd known they'd have to remove the windshield to test for this, I'd have asked them not to do it.
They already resealed it once, I guess they were 2x lazy and didn't look at the paperwork/history before when doing it at the last minute.
So they have to break it first and then determine
if it broke correctly or still poses a risk? If front windshield doesn’t break move to rear window and proceed with breaking it.

Same scenario for me. I'm not interested in fixing something that is not broken.
Just got back from Belgium tonight with 5.5 crates worth of beer (actually 2 crates and the rest loose bottles packed by the wife who happens to like puzzles).
I borrowed a 992 for a weekend before I placed the order and the frunk only takes one crate. It does hold 3 bags of pig nuts quite nicely though.
I did protect the back of the seat with a jacket, but only after grinding the front spoiler at the bottom of the brewery underground car park despite creeping down super slowly. Good way of testing your clutch control skills with a hill start in reverse and a pile of cash burned if it rolls forward a tad 😂.
