For me, a 10 year old 911 should be ever-so-slightly dog-eared......a little "patina" to go with miles and smiles. That is what a 911 is about. These days it really does have more of a "Ferrari" vibe (car must be PERFECT, likely better than delivered, with mileage that most commonly reflects that perfection). Cars become legendary by being used and accumulating memories and stories. Cars spending their lives stored on a shelf and wheeled out only for the "must be seen at" shows are quite frankly boring.

There was no ADM, I am not sure if they are even legal here.
It will hopefully take about 5 months from that date to deliver, about the same as my daily VAG SUV.
Just a normal experience.
As it should be.
In 10 years time it will be a little dog eared, and maybe a little faster too.
Normal 911.

Maybe that doesn’t work for a Sport Classic, S/T or GT series car but that’s not my world, so I don’t mind too much.

Do we think that mount will work on a Carrera grill?

Hit or miss. I bought a 70th anniversary grill badge on Ebay that came from India. $99. Horrible quality. Pics must have been of an original. Other things I believe come from the same factory...out the back door and on to eBay.

Never hurts to ask. I think it has to do with how accommodating your service center is. I do know (at least in the USA) that trim issues are only covered in the first 12 months.

They have a video showing it installed on a regular Carrera grill (albeit a fake sport classic).

My story is similar, gotta call went in 3 days later and took over someone else’s allocation after they back out. Was able to make changes and no AMD. Funny thing to the story, our original contact was over the phone some months prior when I called to see if any cars were available at that time, it was early spring. He brushed me off rudely etc, I finished the conversation telling him “it’s not like we are talking about a Ferrari”. We hung up, I thought I’d never hear from him again. Well what do you know, early fall I get the call, as I’ve described above and went in to put my money down. Three months later, on 1/3/24, I’ll have my T. I’m tracking it now and she’s at the dock waiting for a lift. Funny how things workout.

If I had the right grill I’d give it a shot. It looks good and AliExpress is not EBay.

We all have some eBay horror story....are you saying you think you have better luck on AliExpress? I assumed it was like anything I order and ends up coming from China...you can return it for more in postage than you paid for the item. My father keeps telling me about this amazing site "teamu" that I missing out on...I always feel it is more aggravation than its worth.

I am convinced that it is a surplus production with scratched packaging box or something similar.

However, £129 is too much for a badge, however well it’s made.

My feeling is I would not attach it to my 911T as it does not go with the model. But for those that like it, it is pretty nice , to each their own. It looked like there was interest on the site and I happen to find it online. I’ve always been one to strip badges off my cars for a cleaner and stealth appearance. What’s the quality, it looks the part but could be just a photo. Second run with defects, maybe? Personally I didn’t think it was that expensive given the car. But as they say, caveat emptor!

Its all pretty much hit or miss, EBay has to many people trying to scam so unless I see a really good customer review score I stay away. AliExpress is more like a B2C site which gives me more comfort but try and get your money back if not satisfied, it could be a crapshoot? One never knows. As I wrote above, to me I would not put one on my car if it didn’t come with it. Then again, if it came with it I wouldn’t need one, but it is cool looking and has a significants so if it appeals to you I’d give it a try. If not exactly what you were expecting you could always stick it on a wall or use as a paper weight at your desk. If you go for it, good luck and let us know how you like it.

Our grills look different, not the mesh type. So not sure the design of the badge takes a different grill in account? In that case I would not chance it unless we had verification of T fitment.
