Which dash cam did you get for your 992?
I have been using the Rexing V3 dual, which I hardwired to my previous 991.2 and my daily driver MB. While I am waiting for my new Cabriolet 992, I am wondering if there is any equally good and yet even smaller cameras out that I should consider. I mostly want it for accident protection and such. What do you have?

Based on the recommendations of others on this forum I have ordered the "Garmin 010-02062-00 Dash Cam Mini" from Amazon. I paid $88.99 plus sales tax. Shipping was/is free.

BlackVue DR900S-2CH (front/rear) with front dash cam attached via BlendMount. Also have Power Magic Pro for when car is parked for a while. Everything was professionally installed (along with Uniden R7 radar detector) and all have been flawless for over a year.
Here is the thread for when I had everything installed...

Just got a Thinkware Q800Pro 2 channel and additional battery support w/hardwire kit. Waiting to get it all installed. Good reviews and didn't need 4K and additional recording footprint of others but Backvue DR900S was my alternate choice! Install soon...since its a pre-Bday present for me and car just arrived last week before Thanksgiving. . Pics to follow and review for you guys if you want. LMK

If at all possible I'd like to find a wiring diagram for the entire car. If not from Porsche then AllData or Mitchel. Failing that, I'll take a very close look at the Fuse Box(s) and will decide at that point. I'm extremely OCD about what circuits I tap into and how I do that. I WILL take pictures and I'll post them with an explanation, when I'm done.

The challenge is that most manufacturers now "publish" their manuals only in electronic form and only do so to their dealers. The wiring diagrams contained within these formats are typically vector based. The result is, short of having access to a dealer portal, there really aren't any traditional "print" diagrams or *.pdf renditions. AllData has traditionally favored scans of hard copy documents while Mitchell's diagrams are vector based. I suspect that either business model has it's challenges today. I will keep searching in the hopes that some enterprising person at a Porsche dealership somewhere can and would be willing to produce a hard copy set for a 992. We'll see . . . Could be a long (very long) wait. For the supplier of an aftermarket part; getting a partial diagram of just the circuit that interfaces with their product probably isn't all that difficult. Getting the complete set . . . . now that'd be an entirely different can of worms.

Just a heads up that I spent a few weeks recently troubleshooting with my installer and BlackView tech a 2-ch D900s problem with parking mode. With all settings properly configured to record with front and back cameras, after the first session recording with both cameras it would revert to recording with the front camera only. After swapping cameras, cables, and doing fresh firmware upgrades (as well as reverting back a version) we discovered that settings saved using the Mac desktop app weren’t actually saving. The fix was to only make settings changes using the mobile app.
