Open edges around PDK Shifter
There is a design flaw around the lower trim of the PDK Shifter. In the standard and aluminum option, there is a gap that allows the accumulation of debris. Also the edge of the metal is unsupported as it moves slightly when pressed.
There are two options offered on the configurator to address this issue;
open edge allowing debris to collect
Paldeo wood seals all edges and compliments a dark interior
Leather or Wood.
I prefer the Paldeo wood as it compliments the dark interior of my car.

Every trim has a small gap. It’s actually identical to the piano black trim running along the edges of the center tunnel

The manual transmission guys are probably such neanderthals, they will probably never notice the part in question is the same, no matter what transmission you have.
