New to Porsche.. Help with a C2/C2S build!
Super excited to get the 992. I guess it just comes down to whether to get the base or the S. I know.. this topic has beaten to death.
The main difference between the options is I spec’d the base with the sport design front and sides. With the S, I added the Sport package that comes with SPASM but removed the sport design to save some money.
I slightly prefer the sport design but I was wondering if the SPASM makes a discernible visual difference because of the 10mm drop and larger front lip. The larger red brakes with the S is pretty nice too.
A little background.. I’m coming from IS350 so picking either trim is a nice upgrade. This will be my DD with mostly city driving and no tracking. I’m wondering if the extra power will be worth the higher cost.
Anyone have the base with Sport design and went through a similar decision? Any thoughts on the build?
Here are the two codes:http://www.porsche-code.com/PMA9PMN0

Thanks guys!

I went through the same debate and got lots of great advice. I finally decided on the C2 not the S. It’s is such a personal decision. The thread I started: https://rennlist.com/forums/992/1218...ase-again.html
Good luck!

Try this C2S for $4,000 less than your second C2.

$145,130
It may seem counter-intuitive, but when you start adding a lot of options to a Base 911 because the cost of those options are much more than if/when they come standard on an "S" or are added to an "S", at some point it's actually less expensive to get the "S" with the same options.

Jegz' pricing is in Canadian dollars. If you convert his last build at $149,930 Can. to U.S. dollars it's just $114,700.
Bluehighways, for a Canadian to buy the $145,130 U.S. car you showed would cost about $189,600 Can. if the buyer crossed the border and did the purchase in Seattle rather than Vancouver (depending on the rate and forex service used...I use xe.com to do quick exchange calculations). Doing the same build on the Canadian configurator it comes in at $164,776. http://www.porsche-code.com/PMQWR8M1

Throw in a SC for that extra sporty responsive options (although not absolutely necessary - although personally I think the base does really well with SC) and then throw a little cash at some options that you specifically want and you will still come out way below a C2S with no options

By the way, what do you guys think of having the rear 'PORSCHE' logo in silver but the '911' in black? I love the look of the black '911' but I feel when the PORSCHE logo is blacked out, it gets kind of lost in the rear a bit too much.
And still deciding between Gloss or satin black wheels. Ahhhh.

When this Covid-19 crap gets under control, I'll have to apologize with a visit to Banff and Jasper!

I'm looking at a similar decision regarding a C2 or C2S Cabriolet. I agree that the much higher cost of some C2 options (leather etc.) makes it a tougher choice. My main decision left to decide is manual or PDK. I am leaning towards manual since my daily commute is not congested and the car is mainly for fun, so that makes the S2S the only choice. Similarly optioned the difference is only about 10K. I did drop the RWS from my build based on recent posts and PDCC was never a serious thought.
