I discovered that there is a setting on the Porsche Connect website to disable/enable OTA updates. Mine was set to "Deactivated", so, I flipped it to "Activated". You can access this when you view available services for your vehicle.
I discovered this a couple of weeks ago and selected activated. Still have not seen any software updates - either auto or manual select. Is Porsche using this capability for over the net updates?
I found that earlier last week too, unfortunately flipping it did not make any difference and my 992 still isn't discovering any PCM over the air updates. :-)
My 2020 C2S shows software version MH2p_US_POG35_P2656 and I've dutifully checked for new software update many times since flipping the switch but it always says that no update is available. Has anyone received a PCM software update via an OTA update (PCM software version, not map data update)?
Same result for me. I get " no update is available" each time I try. I have received two NAV MAP updates automatically while driving but the was before the activation choice in Connect Settings so must be separate from software updates. You do, however, need to select auto map updates in the car NAV settings. The map updates have occurred while driving and one gets a window something to the effect MAP UPDATE COMPLETE.
Just curious, my dealer let me know that there are two outstanding software updates for my 2021 C2S. One for the PDK Module and the other for the PCM. At the same time I have the online updates box on My Porsche checked. But on my PCM it says No Updates Available. I have received a Map update about a week ago, so that’s working. I do have excellent bandwidth internet capability via my home network or my cell phone’s hot spot. Anyone have a similar or different experience?

There are software updates that your dealer has to apply. The updates that come over OTA are fairly limited.

Did yours stay activated? I blundered across that website option last night, but whenever I go back to that page, it shows "deactivated."
I have had it activated for more than a year and never seen an update nor found one when checking many times. Just NO UPDATE AVAILABLE. There have been two NAV map updates but that is, I think, separate from the referenced software update function. I am under the impression that any update hat affect major car systems are limited to be done by dealer.

I believe the same - We can get OTA map updates but there's never been an actual OTA software update. I have carefully enabled OTA software updates and left the car with the parking brake on (per manual) but no updates available. Same when using the PCM menu options to explicitly "update software".
@mickey94025,
i dont have a Porsche connect account yet. I submitted earlier the request, it they are not responding back. I believe t is dead since the car is out of Europe. I submitted to my home country, France.
