I really like the RennLine phone mount. I swapped out the magnetic mount that comes with it for an iOttie clamping wireless inductive charger mount (it fits on the Rennline base mount ball without issue.)

The rennline magnet sucks. I have the rennline mount in my m5. I, too, swapped the ****ty magnet for the bit that comes with the Journey phone mount. It still swivels/spins a bit over rough roads, but never falls off.

You have the rennline+iottie setup in your 992?
I’m curious. Are you using the the Rennline Wireless induction charger upgrade for the Rennlist mount ? Or the older one that says it requires a steel pad on the phone ?
The Weathertech solution is IMHO unnecessarily expensive. My wife has, for a couple of years, been using a "Macally Cup Phone Holder for Car Mount" which via Amazon is presently $20. It has survived her rather tenuous and combative relationship with all things mechanical for quite some time now. That alone is worth a 5 star ratting as far as I'm concerned!

Induction Charger (attaches to mount) -
Yes - this one - the wireless induction circular one. The magnet in there is weaker than a baby's grip. Every bump or hard acceleration sends the phone clattering off somewhere.

The iOttie charger with the side clamps is obviously fantastic at holding the phone (and also charging it.)
In a different car, I’m using this MagSafe compatible charger. It charges at the full 15W (just like the Apple MagSafe charger) and it has a stronger magnet than the Apple charger. My phone has not fallen off, unlike other magnetic chargers. (BTW, it requires a MagSafe-compatible case ir no case at all.)
If you're talking about the actual charging plate/mount that the iPhone attaches to, there are various options discussed in the thread. Also, the company is Rennline not Redline so that may be screwing up your search efforts. Plus, per above posts, the Rennline mount does not have a very strong magnet so there may be an issue w/ the phone falling off.

This is I what I designed and made for my iPhone. It's an Apple MagSafe charger, with the wiring hidden in the center console. Installs in about 30 seconds.
Two things:
1) Anyone saying "I just don't get why you don't put it in the console" simple doesn't understand the convenience of single-handedly placing your phone onto a magnetic mount that self-centers and charges.
2) As for modifying the console with the mount - I ordered a replacement trim piece first. This way I can put it back to stock in literally seconds.
